Cancellation policy

Because Yize prepares fresh, made-to-order food, this policy explains when an order can be cancelled, when it cannot, and how refunds work. It applies alongside our Terms & Conditions.

No 14-day right of withdrawal

Under Belgian and EU consumer law (Article VI.53 of the Code of Economic Law, implementing Directive 2011/83/EU), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that are perishable or made to your order. As all our food is freshly prepared for you, orders cannot be returned for a refund once preparation has begun. The policy below is what we offer in addition to your legal rights.

Cancelling before the cutoff

You can cancel your order free of charge up to our weekly order cutoff. Orders placed before the Thursday cutoff are prepared for that weekend, so if you cancel before the cutoff that applies to your order, you receive a full refund. Contact us as soon as possible at info@yize.be with your order number.

After the cutoff

Once the cutoff has passed and we have started preparing your order, it can no longer be cancelled or refunded, because the ingredients have been bought and the food made especially for you.

Missed pickup or delivery

If you do not collect your order on the agreed date, or a delivery cannot be completed because no one is available to receive it, the order cannot be re-prepared or refunded for food-safety reasons. Please let us know in advance if your plans change so we can try to help.

If something is wrong with your order

Your satisfaction matters to us. If your order is incomplete, incorrect, or arrives in poor condition, contact us within 24 hours of pickup or delivery — ideally with a photo — and we will arrange a replacement or a refund of the affected items.

Catering and event orders

Catering and large event orders may require a deposit and have their own cancellation terms, which we confirm in writing when you book. As these are prepared to scale for your specific date, deposits may be non-refundable after an agreed point.

How refunds are made

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, normally within 14 days. Your bank or payment provider may need a few extra days to show the refund on your statement.
