Privacy policy

Last updated: 25 June 2026

This privacy policy explains how Yize (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit our website or place an order. We process your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian data-protection law.

Who is responsible

Yize is the data controller. You can reach us at info@yize.be or by post at Ringlaan 80/2, 3900 Pelt, Belgium. Company / VAT number: BE0792.448.626.

What data we collect

Depending on how you use our site, we may collect:

How we use your data and the legal basis

We use your data to: process and deliver your orders and provide customer support (to perform our contract with you); manage your account (contract); answer your questions (our legitimate interest in helping you); send our newsletter (only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time); meet legal obligations such as accounting and food-safety records (legal obligation); and keep the website secure and working (legitimate interest).

Who we share it with

We share data only with providers who help us run the business, and only as far as needed:

We never sell your personal data. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses are in place.

Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the shop to work — for example to remember your cart and keep you signed in. We also use limited analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the shop from working.

How long we keep it

We keep order and invoicing data for as long as Belgian law requires (currently seven years for accounting records). Account data is kept until you delete your account. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, withdraw consent, and request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email us at info@yize.be. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels — contact@apd-gba.be.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, together with its update date.
